Mission Statement
The Columbus Old School Educational Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit incorporated foundation and shall operate exclusively for educational and charitable purposes to include distributions to organizations that qualify as tax exempt under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or a corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The Columbus Old School Educational Foundation, Inc. has a purpose/mission of promoting post-secondary educational opportunities for graduating high school students and currently enrolled college students by offering scholarship funds. Additionally, the foundation strives to enhance the character and academic development of middle and high school students by directly providing mentoring activities designed to improve skills in writing. Science, technology and math (STEM).

The mentoring purpose of The Columbus Old School Educational Foundation, Inc. shall emphasize empowering students to prepare for secondary and post-secondary success by participating in programs offered by COSEF which may include but will not be restricted to character values clarification, career exploration and plans, personal assessment, exploration of academic goals, STEM exploration (science, technology, engineering, and math), and writing exercises.
